Lyla

Here's a better picture of Lyla. She's a sweetie.

Seastar's Delyla (Lola x Ranger) and her buddy Spike (Driftwood's Spinnaker). They are trying to look innocent but I had just caught them plotting to push the pumpkin off the wall.

Derrie's Holiday Card

Here is a Holiday Card from Derrie's owners... (formerly Pogie from Sadie X Reid litter). How cute.

Comments for Seastar

Hi all,

Never used a site like this before. I would like to be able to leave comments on some posts, without creating a new post, but am confused at how to do so. I see under post options I can "allow" reader comments, so this is a test to see if people can comment on this post. If people know how to do this maybe they could contact me so I could figure it out. I would encourage people to allow comments on their posts, for example I would love to comment on some of the beautiful puppies staring on this site!!

Cheers,
Jennifer

Yeah winter!

Well, it is winter in Fernie, and Farley and I have started work again at Fernie Alpine Resort. We have fingers and paws crossed for our CARDA validation attempt in January in Whistler, BC. We have a ways to go to be ready, but not for lack of Farley's desire for the work! I will try for some quality pics soon. I absolutely love reading about all the newest Seastar pups!!! Powder to the people (and the puppies)!!!! Cheers, Jennifer

Finn's Dog Show Debut!

This past weekend Finn, "Seastar's Roaneden Darkwater", turned 6 months old, and made his Dogshow debut! He had so much fun in the ring, and displayed great confidence for a baby-dog. Saturday was a Toller breed booster, 20 Tollers entered, and Finn was awarded Reserve Winners dog. I was so happy with how he showed. Sunday, even better, Finn won Best of Winners, with a class of 10 dogs, and earned a 4 pt major towards his Canadian Championship. Dad (Reid) showed his best as well, and earned a Group 3rd and cut in the Sporting Group the following day. I was very proud of both my "boys".

Finn will be back out showing Dec 27-29 in Ontario...hoping for some puppy Group wins!!!

Meadow and Finn will be travelling to Brooksville Florida in January for a few days of dogshow and a Holiday on Sanibel Isle.

Photos to come soon!

Have Fun

Hey Seastar Fans,

Thanks for setting up the blog site Laurie. Another fun way to share stories about our Tollers. Last weekend we had a lot of success in the show ring and Magic took Best Of Breed two days over BIG competition. Also Gracie now qualifies for the NSDTRC (USA) Championship so her official name is now Am CH/NSDTRC(USA) CH The Royal Grace of Seastar WC Can WC - YEAH!

Our Seastar motto is "Have fun with your Toller" - whether in the show ring, field or taking a hike, dogs are all about having fun. Let us know how much fun you are having with your Toller.

Snowy Days in IL

Well Nelia (Seastars Serandipity 4 Duckpin) has had her first snowfall, and I actually remembered to get the camera out! She has been having a blast, and I have learned that I need to become more reinforcing then snow. Her recall has become less then desired ;-) Here are 2 photos taken of her playing in the fresh snow. These are a bit old, since I was fighting with the program about letting me post pictures, but it finally worked! Nee and I will be making our conformation debut this weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There are majors all 3 days. Fingers crossed for us.

Good job Gracie

Congrats on some more letters!! Now that she has a WC and Ch. does this mean you may breed her this year? If so who might be her lucky dog? Sure we will hear many more good things about her. Love the pictures. Looks nice there, little on the chilly side here at present.

Cheers,
Jennifer

Gracie - new AKC Champion

Pleased to report that Gracie finished her AKC championship, out of the Bred By class, last Friday (11/24) at the Springfield, MA Thanksgiving Cluster. She pranced around the ring and thoroughly enjoyed herself. She was shown locally in New England -- picking up 4 3pt majors, multiple BOW and BOS along the way. She is turning into a beautiful girl. Took these picture of her today.

Welcome to the Seastar Family Blog

A Seastar family blog. Something I thought might be fun - a way to stay in touch and see our family of tollers.

View, share updates and upload photos often! Save the link as a favorite and share your toller stories.

All the best,
